This roasted pig is one of Bali’s famed dishes since it is not a city with majority of Muslims. It is widely available in restaurants or warung there and sometimes for some cultural events. What makes the pig delicious is that the pig is stuffed with a spicy concoction of turmeric, coriander seeds, lemongrass, black pepper, garlic, and spit roasted. Babi guling is commonly served with lawar, which is a dish of vegetables mixture, coconut and minced meat with some spices and herbs, also not to forget the white steam rice. Although the spiciness of this dish varied between restaurants, mostly the flavor is spicy.
